Motorola has been a major player in the smartphone industry since the past 3-4 years and has released quite a few good smartphones which have quite established the Moto acronym among the consumers and people have become familiar with the brand and its Promises.Motorola included a new variant into its bandwagon of smartphones called the Moto G4 Play after the success of Moto g4 and the moto g4 plus, this device comes with an HD display and a screen size of 5 inches running android marshmallow under its hood.

Lets Check out the feature and the various Specifications

How about the design firstly

The design and the build of the Moto G4 Play is neat and well built and the bezel is pretty big  but its not a problem and the device looks rather premium and feels big,it feels big but fits comfortably in ones hand while use, single handed use is easy on this phone as it is ergonomically built.

The build is sturdy and compact with a textured finish at the back giving it a nice look and offers a good grip when holding it as it does not slip easily, the camera and the flash are situated in a vertical fashion and are slightly raised which is very hard to notice, there is the power button and the volume rocker on the right hand side of the device. The buttons are well fixed and give good feedback when pressed and the headphone jack is placed on the top of the device whereas the charging port is at the top of the device.

Display of the Moto G4 Play

The device packs an 5 inch 720 p HD display which is a nice addition to this phone and the screen is quite good with good color reproduction and nice sharpness in the images and the screen display has 294 PPI pixel density and the major talking point about this device is that it comes with water repellent nano coating which helps in avoiding water damage but should not be confused with water resistant as you cant go for a swim with the device still in your pocket.

The HD display fares well in bright sunlight with good viewing angles and watching videos or movies offers a good experience but color contrast under low brightness could have been improved, the touch experience of the display is fluent and does not lag.

Performance and Speed aspects

The device comes with a 1.2 GHz quad core processor from the folks at Qualcomm and has an inbuilt 2 GB ram which is quite decent to offer performance and speed capabilities, the Qualcomm snapdragon 410 processor fares well under stress and offers pure performance under heavy pressure.

There is an inbuilt 16 GB inbuilt memory which is expandable up to 128 GB which should take care of your memory worries as this device surely takes care of it.It has dual sim capabilities so you can run two different networks concurrently and seamlessly.

This device can run on 4G and also offers Volte which is quite decent. The 4th gen device runs on marshmallow 6.0 and offers a pure android experience with no unnecessary underlying tweaks to slow down the performance.

Battery Backup

To power all these great features of the device it comes with 2800 mAh battery and it does perform well offering up to 7-9.5 hours of good battery life on a full charge,it might offer more backup if you minimize your usage but on a normal everyday usage it can easily provide between 7 to 9 hours whether you are navigating using GPS ,playing games, watching videos or just surfing through web.The handset comes with a special 10 w rapid charger which supercharges your device in less than half an hour to 45 mins and provides quick charging.

Camera Qualities

The camera on the device is good but mostly average and it has an 8 megapixel camera on the back of the device acting as the rear camera and an 5 megapixel camera on the front and uses f/2.2 aperture to capture the images,it does capture your videos at 1080p which makes it rather good and also at 30 fps which is a good feature as it makes your videos sharper and cleaner.

Moto G4 Play

The color reproduction is fairly good and it fares well under dim light but sometimes loses the battle when it comes to noise but its not anything major as both the cameras are decent and can be used for everyday casual photography with ease.

Motorola surely did pack some good features into this budget smartphone and tried really well to offer good quality and experience with the a good well built smartphone which has a really good battery life, offers a nice user interface with a pure android experience,an HD display for amazing viewing experience and the likes of storage capabilities completely taken care of Moto G4 Play and hence is a very good device and smart buy.
